The Game-Changer for Visionaries: Harnessing the Power of Who

Jun 14, 2024

I want to share a story with you today from a deep intensive session I had with an incredible woman.

“Leena” is a visionary, driven by a deep desire to improve the lives of millions of rural children in South Africa.

She dreams of providing them with essential resources like light —a simple yet transformative tool that can change their futures. But, like many of us, she often found herself bogged down by the question, "How can I do this?"

She was trying to figure out every step, every detail, every challenge. And it was exhausting.

During our conversation, I asked her, “Why did this happen for you?”

It wasn’t about why these challenges were happening to her, but what they were preparing her for

We started to explore a new question: not “How can I do this?” but “WHO ..,.

This shift from How to Who was a game-changer.

Leena began to see her mission not as a solitary endeavor but as a collective journey.

She realized she didn't have to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. Instead, she could tap into her network, seek support, and find collaborators who shared her vision.

Imagine the liberation of this shift. No longer confined by the limits of her own capacity, “Leena” could focus on her true strengths—her vision, her passion, her leadership.

She started asking, “Who can bring the expertise I need? Who has the resources to support this project? Who believes in this mission as much as I do?”

This is the power of WHO.

It’s about stepping out of isolation and into community. It’s about recognizing that we are stronger together, that our collective power far surpasses what any of us could achieve alone.

And it feels like freedom. It feels like joy. It feels like finally being able to breathe, knowing that you are not alone, that you are part of a bigger picture, a grander story.

So, my dear friends, I urge you to make this shift. The next time you find yourself overwhelmed by the question of how, pause and ask instead, “Who?”

Who do you know?

Who knows who?

Who can help you?

Who shares your vision?

Who has the skills and resources you need?

Who will stand with you, shoulder to shoulder, in pursuit of your mission?

Who can do what you are not supposed to do?

Let’s embrace this power of WHO together. Let’s build our dreams not just on our own strengths but on the collective energy and support of those around us.

If you want some support with this, drop me a message and let’s have a chat.
