A place to come FROM, not to achieve

May 27, 2024

A client recently shared her heartfelt struggle with me:

"My dream and vision still resonate deeply within me. However, I've noticed a shift in my confidence, leaving me unsure of my ability to achieve it—or at least, achieve it in the way I once envisioned. This lack of confidence has fostered a fear that I might not be a match for my vision, causing it to drift away in search of someone else more suited. Additionally, I've felt a disconnection from my intuition, making it difficult to understand what it's trying to tell me.

My greatest fear is that I'm letting myself down. Each day, I seek opportunities to boost my confidence and optimism, but right now, I'm struggling.”

Hearing these words, I felt compelled to remind her—and all of us—of a vital truth. “My friend, your vision is a place to come FROM, not to get to!”

When you can see yourself living the life of this vision, what do you feel? Who are you with, and what makes you laugh? Who are you being, in the vision? What are the most important aspects of your life? What are the experiences you have?

The vision is a place to come from, not to achieve.

When you step into your vision, that big dream, the one that you know you can’t create alone, who are you being?

Most commonly, powerful women like you, when asked who they are BEING in their vision, often say: "I’m calm, fulfilled, passionate, in alignment with my values." No matter what your words would be remember:

The feeling is the secret.

The key to it all is to slow down. Even the constant “looking for things that will boost your confidence” is doing, and not being.

Confidence is a simple concept—it’s trust. Trust in yourself. Trust that a pause will bring the clarity you seek. To sit still as the fog lifts. To let the jar with dirty water stand still until the dirt falls to the bottom and clear water appears.

It seems counterintuitive. When we want to speed up and do more to create results, what is often needed is the opposite. Slow down, do less…

I’m sharing this because you are not alone feeling like this. I’ve experienced this many times, and every time the recipe is so simple that I argue against it every time! And the recipe is this:

Slow down.

Connect with the body.

Pay attention to what is showing up.

Be honest with yourself when something feels off.

Listen…be still …..listen…

Did you know that on the way to the moon the rocket will have to correct its course  close to 1000 times? We also get to correct our course. Sometimes it can make us feel that we are abandoning our dreams, but actually it is getting us closer. It’s all in the counter intuitive.

To do this alone can be difficult. That’s why I ensure to have people in my life that can help me when I get a bit lost.

I have mentors and coaches and I'm part of a community of other powerful individuals with a vision and on mission.

Having a big vision and being on a mission that is so big that there is no way you  know “how” to do it also means that it can feel lonely. Like a constant battle against other people’s thoughts and limitations.

It’s normal.

That’s why I created Lumina Conexus Mastermind. A place for vision and mission driven women, like myself. A place where  I feel inspired and in awe of the members . A place for you my friend.

Love

Rita
